Calvary University captured the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship with a second-half surge to defeat Manhattan Christian College on Saturday.

The championship matchup featured two of the conference’s top teams, with Manhattan Christian entering as the No. 2 seed after advancing to the final with a semifinal win over Ozark Christian.

The game remained tightly contested early, as Manhattan Christian trailed by just one point at the end of the first quarter. Calvary gradually created separation before halftime, taking an eight-point lead into the break.

In the second half, Calvary took control, outscoring Manhattan Christian 38–22 over the final two quarters to pull away and secure the conference title.

Manhattan Christian received balanced contributions offensively, led by Mackenzie Lovett with 13 points, along with additional scoring from Macayla Hines and others. However, Calvary’s efficiency and second-half execution proved to be the difference.

With the victory, Calvary University claims the MCCC Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship, while Manhattan Christian finishes as tournament runner-up.
