Manhattan Christian College captured the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship with a 104–91 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College on Saturday.
The title game featured the conference’s top two teams, with Faith entering as the No. 1 seed and regular-season champion, while Manhattan Christian—ranked No. 6 nationally—sought its second consecutive tournament title.
The first half was tightly contested, featuring multiple lead changes before Manhattan Christian took a narrow advantage into halftime. Faith opened the second half with a strong stretch, briefly reclaiming the lead and building a small cushion.
Midway through the half, Manhattan Christian regained control and used a sustained scoring run to create separation. The Thunder extended the lead into double digits and maintained that margin down the stretch to secure the championship.
Manhattan Christian shot efficiently and controlled key stretches offensively in the second half, helping seal the victory. With the win, the Thunder claim the MCCC Tournament title, while Faith Baptist finishes as tournament runner-up to cap a regular season championship campaign.
