Manhattan Christian College captured the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) Volleyball Tournament Championship with a 3–1 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College.
Faith opened the match with a strong performance, taking the first set 25–23. Manhattan Christian responded by winning the next three sets, 25–14, 25–13, and 25–18, to secure the conference title.
The Thunder used efficient offense and strong net play to take control after the opening set, finishing the match with 51 kills and a .289 hitting percentage while also holding an advantage in blocks and digs.
Faith was led offensively by Codie Wirges, who recorded a match-high 17 kills, while contributions from Ellie Cooper and Morgan Fincham added to the Eagles’ effort. Defensively, Victoria Nerem paced Faith with 13 digs.
Manhattan Christian’s balanced attack featured multiple players in double-figure kills, including Liv Lubbers (15), Jacey Schurle (14), and Ellie Wilson (10), helping the Thunder maintain momentum through the final three sets.
With the victory, Manhattan Christian secures its seventh consecutive MCCC Volleyball Tournament Championship, while Faith Baptist finishes as tournament runner-up after advancing to the title match for the second straight season.
